SES NYC 2006, Day 1.5

in Google/SEO

So I peeked in the pub around the corner; not many SEO faces were there. Then I heard that Scoble was in town and was looking to hang. So I rang him up and he came over to the conference hotel, and we talked (along with Jackson F. of self-publishing firm Lulu and later, Danny Sullivan) until after 2 a.m. Good stuff, which included watching Danny receive a horoscope on his new Microsoft SPOT Watch.

Scoble posts his cell phone number on his site, which is pretty dang accessible, and it was fun talking to him. So tonight I one-clicked a copy of Scoble’s Naked Conversations book.

Hi Matt

Any news likely to be discussed on Big Daddy, timescales – what to expect etc at SES ?

If so – would appreciate if you dropped a note on your blog too :)

Hi Matt

My Firefox Live PageRank bar is showing PR8 for your blog!!!

Reason mightbe that I have linked to your blog from my PR5 site :-)

Matt, you realise that “Leave a Comment (unless you are a spammer ;) ” means you’re exluding poor DaveN from your blog :D

I’ve just noticed when loading this page that the security code is ‘WHANK’ – does your letter auto-generator check for rude-looking/sounding words? :)

Hey, I got NINJA as the security code :-)

Have fun in NY, Matt. Bring home some pictures, will ya? I hear you’re being badgered by the blackhats.

I just ordered Scoble’s book as well and hope to meet him in Las Vegas at MIX. Why won’t they let YOU write “Google Algorithm Secrets” ? It would sell really well.

funny, I was just looking at that book today at the store and thought about buying it, but the hardcover prices always scare me away.
Let us know how it is.

Let’s face it; the only reason so many people use this site is because they think that you are going to assist them in gaining better rankings.

Ooh Matt, I got a PR5, ooh Matt I cannot wait for the Big Daddy update – You sad people! If Matt Cutts did not have the kudos of being a public facing Google Engineer, you wouldn’t bother visiting this site.

Mr Cutts, you are American which makes you a twat and you work for the most clandestine hypocritical organisation in the world.

Your regular site visitors are nothing more than parasites hoping you will reveal vital information that will enable them to gain top rankings. I have a tip for all you regular visitors, get a life you brown-nosing nerds!

If you have a question about your site specifically or a general question about search, your best bet is to post in our Webmaster Help Forum linked from http://google.com/webmasters

If you comment, please use your personal name, not your business name. Business names can sound salesy or spammy, and I would like to try people leaving their actual name instead.
