I’ll be at SES London next month

I’m going to SES London 2007. I’ll be hanging at the conference (which runs Tuesday February 13th to Thursday February 15th), and I’ll do a Keynote Conversation with Chris Sherman that Wednesday.

If you’re at the conference, please come up and say hello!

  1. I hope another year. I can’t make it this time.

    Have fun!

  2. Matt

Some of us find it difficult to adjust our projects to those conferences. I mean leaving for 3 days isn’t always an option.

May be you wish to consider visiting the local european Google’s offices too. That way we will have better opportunities to meet you on a GOOG platform and discuss local spam too, if you are interested of course.

  3. Harith, I’ll be stopping by the Google Dublin office too, but I won’t be able to make it to other European Google offices this time.

  4. Matt

Lucky Dublin. Next time our turns and remeber to take real winter clothings with you if you are visiting us during the winter πŸ™‚

Pls. say hello to the folks at GOOG AdWords Dublin and thank them a bunch for great support. They have really been doing a first class job!!

  5. I’ll try to, Harith. The folks in Dublin do an outstanding job, I agree. πŸ™‚

  6. i guess we’ll see some presentations after the event, right? πŸ™‚

  7. Hope your not booked on British Airways. They go on strike Tuesday, and again for 72hrs on Feb 5 and Feb 12.

  8. I wonder if the kind AdWords folk here in Dublin could track down my application for my very first AdWords account submitted on December 7 2006 to the AU $50 bonus sign-up? Pity it seems to have gotten lost somewhere πŸ™

Hope to travel to London and look forward to meeting some of the Googlers from the Webmaster Group. Adam seems like a good guy.

  9. Matt, Hope we all will get some good stuff from you after the conference πŸ™‚

    Have a great day!

    Pratheep

  10. Wouldnt mind nipping along to the conference myself, but alas timingwise cant be done. Hope you have a good time Matt, I was there at SES last year along with a couple of colleagues.

  11. I look forward to seeing in not only my home country, but my home town and only 5 minutes car journey from my office!

Ahhhh a local get together πŸ˜€

  12. Hey Matt,
Cheers for the update. See you there with the rest of the Scottish SEO fraternity in tow. Guess we owe you a beer or two for the weather reports.

  13. Hi Matt,

It was in 2005 when I announced to the public at SES in London and specially when I was asking some insight questions to Nikesh Arora that we named our Son Oliver Google Kai.

I will be at the SES London ( 13, 14, 15, February ) this year and it can be a cool idea to express my love to Google on a Valentine’s Day .

    See you there Matt.

  14. I’ll be there, hope to meet you again!

Still chewing on some Vegas tidbits πŸ™‚

    Astrid

  15. All round Jason’s house for some cans of Red Stripe, a Dominos and the footie then?

Hope to see you at the big LondonSEO.org event on Thursday 15th Feb Matt πŸ™‚

    Rob

  16. That’s great to hear from you Matt. Many best wishes from me. Feel my presence in subtle form. πŸ˜‰

  17. sorry that I cannot be there this time.:(

  18. I’ll be in Dublin pre-SES also. Perhaps I can buy you a Sprite!!

  19. Wow – I’ll be there but I’m often shy.

It would be great to meet you in person after reading your blog and watching your vlogs.

I do try and get some Dutch courage and introduce myself to random strangers at events but of late this has produced undesirable results.

What would be the best way to offer to treat you to coffee or some such before or after or even during the conference?

And to the rest – what is the best way for a (foreigner) person to meet fellow folk from the industry at an industry event without simply thrusting had at random stranger, smiling and saying “Hi, I’m me. Who are you?” especially when one has a terrible memory for names (thank goodness for badges)?

  20. SES London: You can’t afford to miss it ( Feb 13-15 ).

Let me tell you, SES; it’s more than my life’s worth to arrange to go to a conference on Feb 14!

  21. I’d better go and tell my wife to order in some more gut rot then Rob ?

  22. I’ll be there!
I hope you like fish & chips and warm beer matt, that’s all we have here.

  23. JasonD – Look out for me… I’ll be the one with a copy of .Net πŸ˜€

  24. ON NO!!!! Not again!! Every time you go on vacation my site disappear from the SERP’s πŸ™

  25. First off eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek matt ill be the one hiding in the shadows away from you…

Jason – if you like ill book him a taxi down to yours – make a good surprise visit lol

esrun will be verry happy to see you πŸ˜‰

  26. Matt… you’re leaving for London soon. Will you be responding to the queries and postings by UK Google users at http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/infrastructure-status-january-2007 before you go? It’s been a couple of weeks since the discussion started over there and the peculiar differences between google.co.uk “the web” results and “pages from the UK” results (especially for UK-based sites with .com domain names, some of which don’t appear at all in “pages from the UK” results and many whose default page/root page is excluded) are still apparent.

  27. I will probably there. I will also try to post some videos and interviews on my site. Is this guy really going to have a seminra there? SEO Los Angeles

  28. Any chances Florida will host one of these conferences? Until then, any smaller gatherings, conferences, group meetings, trade shows in this area you might recommend for a real estate agent slash wanna be seo expert?

  29. Hi Matt

I will also be going to SES London on behalf of WebProNews. See you then!

    Debbie Harrison

  30. Hi Matt,
do you have any intention of being in either Munich or Milano for the next SES meetings?

  31. Heya, Katia,

Alas, Matt won’t be in Munich (don’t know about Milan, but I’m not aware of him going there, either), but I’m definitely looking forward to being at SES Munich myself this year! I’ll be pretty easy to spot; I’ll likely be one of the few speakers who knows approximately 1,342 food words but not much else in German πŸ™‚

  32. I looked up the train times and prices – then I looked at the conference prices!

A whole grand plus VAT? While I’d love to meet up, that’s the price of three well-configured laptops. There’s even a charge for the exhibition – you have to pay to be sold to. And the full exhibition is also only on the first day. Nothing on the 15th at all.

  33. George,
Thanks for making me laugh so hard.

  34. ps. I really needed it.

    πŸ™‚

  35. I’ll be over there. A Spanish newbie from the sunny Costa del Sol.

  36. Hey Matt

I couldn’t catch you back in February. Hope you had a good time in London. See you back over here sometime soon.

  37. Where are you guys right now?
    Still in London πŸ™‚
