I’m going to SES London 2007. I’ll be hanging at the conference (which runs Tuesday February 13th to Thursday February 15th), and I’ll do a Keynote Conversation with Chris Sherman that Wednesday.

If you’re at the conference, please come up and say hello!

Have fun!

Matt

Some of us find it difficult to adjust our projects to those conferences. I mean leaving for 3 days isn’t always an option.

May be you wish to consider visiting the local european Google’s offices too. That way we will have better opportunities to meet you on a GOOG platform and discuss local spam too, if you are interested of course.

Harith, I’ll be stopping by the Google Dublin office too, but I won’t be able to make it to other European Google offices this time.

Pls. say hello to the folks at GOOG AdWords Dublin and thank them a bunch for great support. They have really been doing a first class job!!

I wonder if the kind AdWords folk here in Dublin could track down my application for my very first AdWords account submitted on December 7 2006 to the AU $50 bonus sign-up? Pity it seems to have gotten lost somewhere :(

Hope to travel to London and look forward to meeting some of the Googlers from the Webmaster Group. Adam seems like a good guy.

Hey Matt,
Cheers for the update. See you there with the rest of the Scottish SEO fraternity in tow. Guess we owe you a beer or two for the weather reports.

Hi Matt,

It was in 2005 when I announced to the public at SES in London and specially when I was asking some insight questions to Nikesh Arora that we named our Son Oliver Google Kai.

I will be at the SES London ( 13, 14, 15, February ) this year and it can be a cool idea to express my love to Google on a Valentine’s Day .

See you there Matt.

I’ll be in Dublin pre-SES also. Perhaps I can buy you a Sprite!!

Wow – I’ll be there but I’m often shy.

It would be great to meet you in person after reading your blog and watching your vlogs.

I do try and get some Dutch courage and introduce myself to random strangers at events but of late this has produced undesirable results.

What would be the best way to offer to treat you to coffee or some such before or after or even during the conference?

And to the rest – what is the best way for a (foreigner) person to meet fellow folk from the industry at an industry event without simply thrusting had at random stranger, smiling and saying “Hi, I’m me. Who are you?” especially when one has a terrible memory for names (thank goodness for badges)?

SES London: You can’t afford to miss it ( Feb 13-15 ).

Let me tell you, SES; it’s more than my life’s worth to arrange to go to a conference on Feb 14!

Matt… you’re leaving for London soon. Will you be responding to the queries and postings by UK Google users at http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/infrastructure-status-january-2007 before you go? It’s been a couple of weeks since the discussion started over there and the peculiar differences between google.co.uk “the web” results and “pages from the UK” results (especially for UK-based sites with .com domain names, some of which don’t appear at all in “pages from the UK” results and many whose default page/root page is excluded) are still apparent.

Any chances Florida will host one of these conferences? Until then, any smaller gatherings, conferences, group meetings, trade shows in this area you might recommend for a real estate agent slash wanna be seo expert?

Hi Matt,
do you have any intention of being in either Munich or Milano for the next SES meetings?

Reply

Adam Lasnik January 31, 2007 at 2:49 pm

Heya, Katia,

Alas, Matt won’t be in Munich (don’t know about Milan, but I’m not aware of him going there, either), but I’m definitely looking forward to being at SES Munich myself this year! I’ll be pretty easy to spot; I’ll likely be one of the few speakers who knows approximately 1,342 food words but not much else in German :)

I looked up the train times and prices – then I looked at the conference prices!

A whole grand plus VAT? While I’d love to meet up, that’s the price of three well-configured laptops. There’s even a charge for the exhibition – you have to pay to be sold to. And the full exhibition is also only on the first day. Nothing on the 15th at all.
