I wanted to blog, but...
Honest. I wanted to write a big, in-depth blog post about X (pick whatever X you want), but then Emmy came and sat down beside the keyboard with a forlorn face. This is what she looked like:

Emmy was just waiting patiently for me to get off the computer so that we could play or hang out. How am I supposed to blog under those kinds of conditions? ![]()

Good for Emmy reminding you - and the rest of us - that family is more important than blogging.
You’ve gotta love her approach... cover the notes and give him a look that his mother would when he’s done wrong!

Cats are so much more fun and interesting than dogs and they don’t have to be walked or taken out early in the mornings.
When my wife and I go on vacation, we have to get someone to come in and care for Max (14 yr old persian) and stay with him a while each day. He couldn’t survive being away from home overnight.
A good cat can be great therapy for a hectic day.

My cat Sassy will sit on my keyboard and won’t move until I brush her. Not even the constant beeping of her laying on the keyboard will deter her. She needs her brushing and she needs it now.
When you do get the chance to blog, how about blogging about this:

This seems to be a huge expoit by spammers.
spamhound Said,

If Emma likes to play, laser pointers are a blast. I give Sassy her exercise every day with it. I stand on the second floor of my house and shine the laser onto the floor downstairs and watch the mayhem. She chases that little dot around like there is no tomorrow.
spamhound Said,

Alright, I am a cat lover and can’t help it.
I’m so wierd about it I even made her a website and monetized her catness.

Lars Bachmann, I think that says more about you than about me.
CF, that kit-in-box looks pretty cool. Emmy loves boxes, too.
Charlie Anzman, that would make a good LOLCat picture. Something about cloning or time machines.
spamhound, Emmy is a big fan of laser pointers too. Having you tried the tips that make a circle? Nice job of mixing SEO with your love for Sassy, by the way. Emmy has the strange ability to shut off my laptop just by walking across the keyboard. I watch and her paw doesn’t hit the power button, but somehow the computer shuts down. It’s weird.
Harith, that was a to-do list she was sitting on. I think I checked to make sure nothing confidential showed up in photo, because I knew a few readers would be eagle-eyed.
Ryan Said,
April 11, 2008 @ 8:51 am
Matt, at least she waits.
Mine will sit on the keyboard, scream, and bite me until I play with her.
If I don’t, she’ll go in the other room and start making as much noise as possible (usually opening and closing cupboards or batting at the thing that opens and closes the blinds... is there a name for that thing?)
If all of that fails and I’m still doing something, she’ll usually bring me random objects and drop them at my feet. Things like the downy ball, a pen, a wii controller, cat toy, or whatever she has around.
As I’m typing this, she’s got the brush for my pool table in her mouth and is repeadetdly running upstairs with it, dropping it down so it makes noise, and repeating.
spamhound Said,
April 11, 2008 @ 8:52 am
Here second favorite next to the laser dot, is the fish filter. It projects a circle with two fish in it.
I had to disable the power off switch on my keyboard just for that reason.
Cats! You gotta love em

Lew Said,

Matt,
I know what you mean. Anytime that I am trying to work on my laptop at home late at night, it seems that 1 or more of the cats (usually Nightcrawler) comes up and curls up next to me on the couch trying to let me know that the attention that I am giving the laptop is not appreciated!
Lindsey Said,
April 11, 2008 @ 11:56 am
Haha! Cats are great. At least she’s just sitting beside you with the face. My kitten likes to take over the keyboard (wreaking havoc on whatever programs are open!) or lay on top of my wrists so I can’t type. And if I do try to type she swats at my fingers.
At least my kids only poke at me, or whine endlessly until I am done!
Kevin S. Brady Said,
April 11, 2008 @ 12:32 pm
My cat will sit next to my chair and howl until I pay attention to him. Failure to do so in a timely manner results in a cat “love bite” to the wrist.
Bruce Said,
April 12, 2008 @ 6:29 am
Whenever I am trying to work our cat always seems to know the precise location to lay in to cause me the most problems with getting my work done. The little fur balls are amazing!

Diane Said,

Aww sweet. My three cats come and lurk next to me when they’re hungry. They’ll disappear very quickly once they’ve been fed.
If I want them in the same room as me I just have to put some important paperwork down or take the lid off a box. They must have radar systems to alert them to this sort of thing.
natalie Said,
April 16, 2008 @ 9:23 am
I gave up working from home on my laptop because every time I attempt to use it my 5ft iguana just has to sit on the keyboard and when he gets bored of that he sits on my head, not easy to SEO clients sites when he is around. But I guess he is trying to tell me to stop being a nerd and feed me and there’s more to life than the web.

Matt,
). Just kidding of course. Using the mouse makes me move my arm and if that happens too much she’s like: “Hey, it was fun, but if you can’t sit still I’m out of here.”
There´s a place that is called your “lap”. She’ll like it there even better then on your keyboard. One of our cats, (Cindy) likes to be in my lap when I’m behind the computer. The only thing is that I can’t use the mouse too much. (Maybe she gets jealous
Matt Cutts Said,

She wants attention. My cats also spent a lot of time on my desk or sleeping on my laptop. Also they eat my mouse cable and sometimes my net cables (maybe they are net cats and they miss cables in the food ... )
@Gecko they are truly evil (predators) but can they compare to human evilness?
