Halloween 2008 wrap-up

in Fun

I missed a few Halloween tidbits:

- Our Halloween post on the Google webmaster blog gives you a feel for Halloween at Google. The dog dressed up as a lion was pretty awesome. There was also a guy dressed as the Android from Google’s mobile phone OS.

- What happens when a witch accidentally collides with a telephone pole? This is what happens:

Witch accident

- Besides the yummy mummy cupcakes, my wife also made chocolate candy corn cupcakes:

- Fitz took a turn as the Dude.

- And my cat Ozzie decided that he wanted to be a feather boa dancer for Halloween:

I hope everyone had a happy and safe Halloween!

Hi Matt,

“Rick Astley Cutts”
This really made be smile :)

Looks like Google Team really enjoyed this Halloween.

And Matt, your cat [Ozzie] is extremely cute.

Regards

That’s a really cute picture of your cat :)

Mattt you know at the next search conference you are going to be dragged of to a kareoke bar and forced to sing “That Song”

Matt Cutts November 3, 2008 at 9:13 am

Maurice, doh! My Android phone does have an app called TuneWiki that will display lyrics as a song plays. It would be great for karaoke; unfortunately, I believe that I’m allergic to karaoke and so would not be able to participate. ;)

Ozzie is adorable… I miss my cats! You know what else I miss? Candy corn… I haven’t been able to find those here in Sweden yet. I’m jealous of your yummy mummy cupcakes :)

Ryan November 3, 2008 at 1:31 pm

Yuk… candy corn… otherwise they look yummy.

Daniel November 3, 2008 at 1:54 pm

ummm, did you bring enough cupcakes for the WHOLE class??? gimme!

Multi-Worded Adam November 3, 2008 at 6:10 pm

If I can sing Harry Belafonte, Matt, then you and everyone else cannot be allergic to karaoke.

I can’t believe I’m asking this either, but my girlfriend wanted to know if you were going to put up the recipe for the mummy cupcakes. She thought it was a cool idea. The only part that stumped us was the “eyes”.

So long as you 3 signed & independent Medical Doctors certificates to prove your allergy, you will be excused ;)

BTW, I’ve never seen the “lion king” looking so under-enthusiastic before. How about a YouTube of “Ozzie V.S. The Lion King” ?

Sweet! I was actually so tired Friday that I fell asleep like 7:30 and missed everything! Luckily I still went to this awesome concert in Nashville “Here Come the Mummies” the next day. That band is awesome, and they actually do dresss up like mummies. My fav was the one with the dreads :)

Love your Cat! My dog is name Ozzie, but I call him Monkey….poor guy does not know what he is!

Alan Parekh November 4, 2008 at 6:01 pm

The witch looks like a fun setup as long as it doesn’t involve electrocution. :)

Ozzie’s a handsome little guy. He looks just like a cat we used to have named George Bailey. He was as sweet and lovable as the character he was named for.

The cupcakes look delicious, too. I love to see other people having a blast with Halloween. It’s a great opportunity for us to all be kids again.

Hello_Kitty November 5, 2008 at 11:54 am

Ozzie looks nice. His eyes are interested in something.

Why wait for Halloween?

Tommy November 8, 2008 at 12:55 am

Hah! Ozzie looks just like my cat Lemmy, except Lemmy is way fatter. :)

Witch accidentally collides with a telephone pole… :)
Seems that google team is great host for halloween parties… to bad we don’t celebrate it on same way.
